Recycling For RI Education
The mission of RRIE is to encourage preservation of the environment by diverting

and community organizations.
RI Schools Recycling Club
The goal of the RI Schools Recycling Club is to ensure that all of Rhode Island's
schools, both public and private, are separating loose paper from their trash
and have a useful method of transporting it to a recycling facility.
Narragansett Bay Commission
The goal of the Narragansett Bay Commission (NBC) "Pollution Prevention
Program" is to provide free technical assistance to industries who are
experiencing pollution problems. Efforts are focused on discharge of toxic
chemicals into the sewer system and subsequently Narragansett Bay.
California Materials Exchange - Free service designed to help businesses find markets for nonhazardous materials they have traditionally discarded. CalMAX helps businesses, industries, and institutions save resources and money.
Maine Materials Exchange - Periodic newsletter lists materials exchanged; serves Maine and northeast states; handles many materials including industrial and business surplus, machinery, metals, and some hazardous materials; listing is posted on the organization's Web site as well.
Massachusetts Materials Exchange - Accepts listings of any non-hazardous commercially generated materials.
Minnesota Materials Exchange - Provides an online catalog of materials available and materials wanted.
New Hampshire Materials Exchange - Online database lists various materials available for exchange.
New Jersey - Morris County Materials Exchange - The Morris County Municipal Utilities Authority (MCMUA) assists people in acquiring materials from donors through its Materials Exchange Program Website. The MCMUA's Materials Exchange Program is designed to help people find markets for materials they have traditionally discarded.
New York Wa$teMatch - New York City's materials exchange and solid waste reduction program. NY Wa$teMatch provides reuse, recycling and other innovative waste solutions to boost your bottom line.
Pennsylvania Material Trader - The Pennsylvania Material Trader is a free service offered by the Pennsylvania Small Business Development Centers to help promote the exchange of reusable materials with little or no market value.
Southern Waste Information eXchange, Inc. (SWIX) - Catalog, published three times per year (April, August, and December), contains listings for all types of materials; information clearinghouse for industry provides information concerning solid and hazardous waste management.
Vermont Materials Exchange - Online and quarterly catalog lists non-hazardous and hazardous materials; also hosts an e-mail discussion group.
